How Healthcare Professionals Make Fitness a Priority Despite Crazy Schedules

Nurses, doctors, and hospital staff are some of the most hard working and caring professionals, and crazy hours and days spent putting others first leave little time often for themselves. BurnAlong was proud to be part of Doctors Community Hospital in Maryland’s 24 Hour Fitness Challenge – prioritizing exercising whenever it can be squeezed in.

The BurnAlong team introduced nurses and doctors to instructors from across Maryland, whose classes they can take both in-person and online with BurnAlong.

“Finding the time and energy to work out at the start or end of a long day is hard enough; it’s even harder when your schedule doesn’t sync up with traditional exercise class times,” said BurnAlong’s co-founder Daniel Freedman. “So it’s terrific to watch BurnAlong benefiting people – keeping them engaged with instructors and friends at the times that work for them.”

We’re seeing on BurnAlong that health care professionals know how to make their schedule’s work out.

When their work hours are crazy or they don’t have time to make it to the gym or studio, many of them take classes online. Whether they’re getting off work at 5:00 a.m. on a Tuesday or midnight on a Saturday, they can take some time to unwind with some yoga, let off some steam with a cardio or kickboxing class, or build strength and endurance with bodyweight and barre classes.
