Learn About the Importance of Walkability
Our Co-CEO, Daniel Freedman, authored an op-ed for The Baltimore Sun detailing the importance of making cities walkable. Not only for our safety, but also our overall wellness. Learn about the health benefits of walking and what you can do, as a citizen, to make your city more walkable in the full article.
Walk with Us
Walking can make us healthier mentally, socially, and physically. We should all do more of it, and our communities should provide safe places to ensure we can.
This is where you come in.
For yourself, your children, grandchildren, parents, and grandparents, we need to encourage people to walk and make it safe for them to walk on a daily basis in their own communities.
Take action today and tell your local officials to make your neighborhood more walkable!
We’ve created a template below that you can adapt in your own words to write an op-ed or letter to the editor of your local newspaper or a letter to your local council. Get your friends and neighbors involved. Once you start the ball rolling, others will join in and together we can make this happen, for everybody’s sake.
Are You Up for a Challenge?
Kickstart your fall by competing against other companies and cities, from across the country, for a friendly competition to determine who is the healthiest. Your team, or city, competes in the challenge by taking classes from any of the 49+ categories on our platform; winners will be selected by the highest average number of minutes completed by their employees.
